Eve and the iphone

I bit the Apple! I thought I liked chocolate! I even thought I liked the low calorie pink Razr, but what did I know? Steve Jobs has gone and done it now. He’s broken my commitment to not following the crowd. Notice it’s all his fault, I’m just Eve in the proverbial garden.
The chocolate I wanted was the LG Chocolate phone. This was the treat I had promised myself when I return to working on a full time basis. No more pre-paid cell phone, that would go to the child. She would be the recipient of my “old” phone, I’d be looking like the good Mummy and I’d get the cool phone. Still my plan.
The child wanted a pink Razr phone for Christmas. I just laughed. She thought I was the epitome of cold. Especially when I put a pink razor in her Christmas stocking from Santa. Still makes me smile. Still makes her grumpy.
Then, today, I went to apple.com/iphone, at first glance I thought “what’s all the hype about?” I couldn’t help but wonder why anyone would pay in the vicinity of $600 U.S. for a phone. I should have left. I should stepped back, but no, I couldn’t leave well enough alone.
I clicked on the on the puppy on the skateboard. I am such a sucker! The marketing for the iphone is witty, smart and caught my attention. The iphone is the very accessory I’ve been missing!
Only, I guess I’ll be enjoying my chocolate fix after all, first of all this toy is a “bit” expensive and the iphone doesn’t appear to be available in the Garden of Canada. What is that about?
