And in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter and the sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed. Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet

The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is a reaction, both are transformed.
Carl Jung (1875-1961)

No pessimist ever discovered the secret of the stars or sailed an uncharted land, or opened a new doorway for the human spirit.
Helen Keller (1880-1968)

Love is, above all else, the gift of oneself.
Jean Anouilh (1910-1961)

My students and I are creating a quotation wall in “my space” at school. When a student finds a quote which touches their heart, motivates them to try a little harder or to believe, they bring the quote to the wall.

The quotes I am sharing with you will probably not be added to the wall, but each of them touched my heart or challenged me to believe.

I like this one too: One of the advantages of being disorderly is that one is constantly making exciting discoveries.
A.A. Milne (1882-1956)

One of Milne’s conversations between Winnie the Pooh and Piglet always moves me. I suspect each of us can relate to Piglet’s need for reassurance.

“Pooh,” he whispered. “Yes, Piglet?”
“Nothing,“said Piglet, taking Pooh’s paw, “I just wanted to be sure of you.”
