Natalie Dylan's Virginity

Who really care’s whether Natalie Dylan is a virgin; has already done “it”; or has sex for the first time with the individual who makes the highest bid? Natalie’s claim to fame, in my opinion, is her astute business sense.

It is challenging for me to understand why this is noteworthy, other than for its sensationalist value. I’m curious to know what made Natalie think of this scheme. I’m also curious why anyone would actually bid on her virginity.

I imagine the type of individual who would bid on a woman’s virginity, likes to think of women as innocent beings, just waiting to be “rescued” or “deflowered” by that special someone. Just the thought of this makes me smile.

Comments like “auctioning off her innocence” make me laugh! Are these media people for real?! This woman is innocent? I think she’s canny like a fox.

I googled Natalie Dylan and came up with lots of sites. Obviously, she’s on to something. But what?

I suspect we’re back to the a woman’s value is in her purity and good girls don’t do “it”. As you know by now, I find this double standard irritating.

So, we are asked to assume that Natalie Dylan is 22 and a virgin. O.k., fine. That’s her choice. I’m all about not having sex until one is emotionally ready or meets that “special” someone. So far I’m understanding. But, if Natalie is really a virgin, what made her decide to finally have sex for the first time for money?

Statistics indicate the average age for initial sexual activity in women is 17 years of age. Apparently, Natalie made the decision not to engage in sexual intercourse. Again, her choice. What, however, made her decide to finally auction her “virginity”?

Did she suddenly decide that her chastity is a commodity? Hmmm…she has a degree in Women’s Studies, she’d know the history and how we became our husband’s property at marriage. She knows how historically men valued virginity in their partners.

Then, there is the other aspect we’re asked to consider. The selling of sex. Natalie agrees she is involved in selling sex for money, better known as prostitution. Why do we care so much? This woman is making millions off this social experiment (interviews and a book deal) and she doesn’t even have to agree to have sex with the highest bidder.

Natalie found a creative means of earning an income. Sex sells.
